Three Ways to Style a Kaftan
One kaftan, three moods: easy for the day, polished for an open house, and layered for the evening.

A kaftan earns its place in the wardrobe because it asks so little. The cut is generous, the fabric moves, and a small change in what you wear with it changes the whole look.
For the day
Keep everything soft. A plain hijab in a shade taken from the print, flat sandals and a woven bag are enough. Let the kaftan fall straight; it is at its best when it is not pulled in.
For an open house
Add structure. A slim belt at the natural waist gives the shape a line, and a satin hijab lifts the colour. Low block heels are kinder than stilettos on a long afternoon of visiting.
For the evening
Layer a longer inner dress underneath in a deeper tone and choose one piece of jewellery, not three. A kaftan already has movement, so the rest can stay quiet.
Whichever way you wear it, choose the size that lets the fabric skim, not cling. That ease is the point of the piece.
